NORTH DAKOTA BRAND STANDS TEST OF TIME
CASE IH RECENTLY announced the sale of the 50,000th Steiger brand tractor. The history-making tractor was a STX500 Quadtrac model that went to a customer whose father had purchased an original Steiger model.
John Steiger created the Steiger brand in 1957 when he built a tractor for his Red Lake Falls, MN, farm. After producing another 100 models, Steiger moved the manufacturing into a Fargo, ND, facility. In 1986, CNH, the parent company of Case IH, purchased Steiger. Today, Case IH manufactures Steiger models with engine ratings of 275 to 500 hp.
