We're honored

Farm Industry News recently won several top awards in contests of magazine excellence. In a contest sponsored by the Minnesota Magazine & Publications Association, FIN took the top prize - first place in Overall Excellence - for Minnesota trade publications with a circulation of more than 50,000. In addition, FIN won the gold for magazine design and the silver for cover design for the February 2000 issue.

Feature stories by two FIN writers earned second-place awards in a writing contest sponsored by the American Agricultural Editors Association (AAEA). Jodie Wehrspann's story "Digital driving," published in the October 1999 issue, won in the technical feature category. Joan Olson's "GMO-free zone?" published in February of this year won in the issues category. FIN also was awarded honorable mention for best use of photos and design in the AAEA photo contest.

Wehrspann's article "Digital driving" also won second place in the technical category in a writing contest sponsored by the American Society of Business Press Editors.
