Miller Electric is offering a new low-cost, basic welding helmet for the novice welder. The MP-10 helmet is passive, meaning it is not auto-darkening. The name MP-10 refers to the Miller Passive-shade #10 filter, which is a standard shade for general welding. The helmet weighs only 18 oz. and features a large 16-sq.-in. viewing area and a magnifying lens holder for “cheater” lenses to provide a better view of the weld puddle.
