At first glance, New Holland's new 70A tractors look about the same as the company's tight-steering 145- to 210-hp 70 series tractors. The difference is control. Drive one and you'll notice that new “dynamic” front fenders move with the tires during turns, making the tractor's Supersteer technology even more versatile in tight turns at the end of the row. Inside the cab, a new joystick and other upgrades make front-end loader work more efficient. Out front, a new heavy-duty front axle and optional full front axle differential lock enhance strength and pulling power.

When the tractor is powering or controlling implements, new in-cab electrohydraulics and timed detents let you program the tractor to deliver oil for a specified period of time and switch off the oil supply with the push of a button. That's handy during seeding operations, for instance. As in the 70 series tractors, a Megaflow option allows the tractor to operate a high-flow, low-pressure system on one hydraulic circuit, and a low-flow, high-pressure system on another.
