Heavy-duty strip-till

AGCO’s Sunflower brand has a new line of heavy-duty strip-till machines called the 7600 series. The machines are available in 8- and 12-row models. A main feature of the machines is a 7- x 7¾-in.-wall toolbar with 10 in. of vertical travel and adjustable dual down-pressure springs. The models are designed to produce a tilled band of soil for fertilizing and planting. The band is created with 24-in. coulter blades and adjustable dual-function scrapers with bands to control depth. Row cleaners move residue away from the row ahead of the shank. Many knife shank options are available and may be adjusted at depths from 4 to 10 in.

Retail prices for the 12-row model start at $52,000. Contact Sunflower Mfg. Co., Dept. FIN, Box 566, Beloit, KS 67420, 800/748-8481, www.sunflowermfg.com.
