AT THE Ag Connect Expo in January, AGCO Corporation previewed a Sunflower five-section (50-ft.) disc harrow that it will launch at farm shows this fall. (See www.farmindustrynews.com/tv.) “The five-section is geared toward professional producers in North America,” says Tom Draper, product marketing manager of seeding and tillage for AGCO. “And at 50 ft. wide it is going to target the large acreages requiring a disc harrow of this size.”

The product features a triple walking beam axle, a Sunflower exclusive, to handle the load of all five sections. At 33,000 lbs., it will be one of the heaviest in the five-section segment of the disc harrow market, according to Draper. “And at 660 lbs./ft., it will provide a lot of penetration capabilities,” he says.
