CVT on new tractors
FIVE MODELS in the T7000 series tractors from New Holland are now equipped with AutoCommand CVT (continuously variable transmission). The five models range in size from 135- to 195-PTO hp. The AutoCommand CVT is fuel efficient because it manages the engine at its most efficient rpm for a range of speeds.
The T7000 models are equipped with the SideWinder II armrest that houses all the electronic controls for the tractors. An IntelliView III touch-screen display is attached to the armrest. The new screen displays tractor performance — from work rate to fuel efficiency. The tractors also feature a quiet Horizon cab with Comfort Ride cab suspension and clear sight lines from the seat.

Utility vehicle from New Holland
THE NEW Rustler utility vehicle sports the blue color and logo of New Holland. The company added the new Rustler vehicles to complement its growing compact tractor line that is geared for utility work. The first vehicles will be ready for sale in 2010. The Rustler is available in a 14-hp 4?x?4 gas model that will hold 400 lbs. of cargo in the box. The vehicle also is available in a 20-hp diesel and 23-hp gas model for either two or four passengers. These models hold 1,000 lbs. cargo in the box and reach a top speed of 25 mph.
Many options are available. The Rustler is manufactured by Ingersoll Rand, which sells Club Car.
Flexible draper header
THE NEW DynaFlex draper header with adjustable cutterbar pressure is available for AGCO combines, including the Gleaner, Massey Ferguson and Challenger brands. The crop flows in head first into the draper header, producing an even, smooth flow of grain. The DynaFlex header features twin sickle drives that are timed and balanced to run quietly. The pressure on the cutterbar may be adjusted from the cab from 8 in. of flexibility to completely rigid. This allows the grower to move the header down very low under the crop to harvest as many pods as possible. The mechanically driven draper features a one-piece reel that eliminates bunching that often results from a split-reel design, according to the company.
Prices: $81,000 for 40-ft. model; $73,800 for a 35-ft. model; and $64,500 for a 30-ft. model. For more information, visit www.agcoiron.com, www.masseyferguson.com, www.newfromchallenger.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 107.
