The joint ownership of Greenleaf Genetics between Syngenta and Pioneer is no more. The companies announced this week that the venture has been dissolved and Syngenta has assumed full ownership of Greenleaf Genetics. Syngenta launched GreenLeaf Genetics in 2004 and it became a joint venture with Pioneer in April 2006. It will now operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Syngenta Seeds. Early indications are that producers are moving up their buying timeline for corn and soybean seed, industry experts say.
