New from Farm Progress: Case IH upgrades its 1,200-gal. self-propelled sprayer

Case IH launched a new 1,200-gal. sprayer that offers 12% more horsepower than its predecessor. The new Patriot 4430, which replaces model 4420, features a 8.7L Case IH FPT engine rated at 325 hp with power growth up to 356 hp at 2,100 rpm needed to climb hills and navigate wet spots in the field. Case IH claims the engine, equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, not only meets Tier 4A emission standards but also increases fuel efficiency and reduces maintenance requirements, resulting in operating costs that are lower than those of other sprayers in its class.

The sprayer also features an updated cab, carried over the from Steiger tractor, with more interior space and improved visibility. An optional AFS Pro 700 color display lets the operator control guidance and sprayer functions from one screen. For more information, visit www.caseih.com/na.
