Pioneer has chosen the brand name Plenish for its high-oleic-acid soybean oil trait in the next generation of its soybean products. The company expects to carry out a limited introduction of the trait in the 2010 growing season, pending regulatory approval.

High-oleic-acid soybean oil is an attractive option for food companies because high levels of oleic acid significantly increase the stability of the oil when used in frying and food processing applications.
