Smart Buyer

Price break for early orders

Our latest Smart Buyer is from Langdon, MO. We sent a check for $100 to Richard Oswald for his recent buying tip:

Sometimes when buying large or heavy parts for harvesters or other machinery, ordering early pays. Some dealers will give price breaks on these expensive parts if the customer orders ahead, allowing the dealers to have the parts shipped as part of a regular restock order. High fuel prices have driven up the cost of overnight or special deliveries.

If you have a smart buying tip, send it to Farm Industry News, Smart Buyer, 7900 International Dr., Suite 300, Minneapolis, MN 55425. We'll send you a Smart Buyer mug for your effort. If we publish the tip, we'll send you $100.
