With temperatures and the anticipation for spring planting rising, we know you’ve been working hard out on the farm already this year in preparation for the growing season. Who is your companion during those long workdays? We’re guessing for many of you, that’s your dog. We want to meet your farm dog!
We are asking you, our readers, to send in photos of your dog (or puppy!) on any setting of your farm. Photos can be submitted in one of two ways. Email the photo as an attachment to email@example.com with the subject line “Farm dogs photo contest,” or post the photo to the Farm Industry News Facebook wall (see instructions below). There is no entry limit.
Instructions for posting a photo to the Farm Industry News Facebook wall:
Step 1: Log in to your Facebook account.
Step 2: Search for Farm Industry News and click the “Like” button once you are on the Farm Industry News Facebook page.
Step 3: At the top of the Farm Industry News Facebook wall, click on share photo. Select the photo from your computer, and in the “Say something about this photo…” field, type “Farm dogs photo contest.”
From now until Friday, March 23, we will accept photos of your dogs on the farm. We will post an album on Facebook with all the participants. Winners will be selected based on the number of “likes” they receive for their photo on Facebook. The first-place winner will receive this 384-page book The Farm Tractor by Ralph W. Sanders AND one of our Farm Industry News mugs. Second- through fifth-place winners will each receive a mug. We will mail the prizes to your home address.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A purchase does not improve your chances of winning. Contest open to legal residents of 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 or older. To enter, send in your best farm dog photo to firstname.lastname@example.org or on Facebook. All entries must be received by Friday, March 23. Void outside of the 50 United States and District of Columbia and where prohibited by law.
Remember, if you email us your photo, you still have to “like” Farm Industry News on Facebook to vote.
The winner will be announced in early April. Within the announcement, we will provide an email address for the winner to send his or her shipping address.
Good luck, and we look forward to seeing your farm dog photos!
