According to Miller Electric, its new welding generators called the Bobcat 250 and 225 and the Trailblazer 302 and 275 provide long-lasting, reliable service for farmers who need a gas-engine-driven generator. The new generators are built in a fully enclosed case with a front panel and controls protected by a Xenoy material. The generators will handle high-voltage shock, power drops and chemical spills without damage. The new enclosed-case design makes the generators quieter than previous models, according to the company. Removable service doors allow engine maintenance.

The Bobcat and Trailblazer offer 10,000W of useable peak generator power and a 12-gal. fuel tank. Under a continuous load of 4,000W of generator power, the units operate for 14 hrs. For typical welding, the Bobcat 250 provides a duty cycle rating of 100% at 250 amps/25 to 28v. The Bobcat 225 offers 100% duty cycle at 200 to 225 amps/20 to 25v. The Trailblazer 302 provides 20- to 300-amp DC output and 35- to 225-amp AC output. The Trailblazer 275 provides 20- to 275-amp DC output.
