Welding lens

The Speedglas 9000Xi auto-darkening welding lens from Hornell is designed for TIG inverter welding technology. When in high-sensitivity mode, the lens can detect the extremely steady (flat frequency) arc produced by new TIG inverters. The company claims that the lens has been proven effective at settings as low as 1 amp. The 9000Xi changes from a shade 3 to shades 9 to 13, depending on the settings. Welding filter

The Focus AH-240 is a new solar-powered, auto-darkening welding filter from Nassau International. Normally at shade 3, the filter automatically darkens to shades 10, 11 or 12, as specified by the user, when an arc is struck. The filter measures 2 × 4¼ in. and is just 3/16 in. thick.
