MULTI-TOOL ONE-UPSMANSHIP

LEATHERMAN CUTS WEIGHT, GETS STRONGER

LEATHERMAN says its new Charge Ti surpasses its best-selling full-size multi-tool, the Wave. The tool features all locking implements, two one-hand-opening knife blades, titanium handles, interchangeable driver bits, a saw blade and a diamond-coated file. Titanium handles offer enhanced durability, corrosion resistance and reduced weight. New bronze bushings reduce friction on the knife blades, so opening is smoother.

Suggested retail price: $124. Contact Leatherman Tool Group, Dept. FIN, Box 20595, Portland, OR 97294, 800/ 847- 8665, visit www.leatherman.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 198.

PLUNGING CORDLESS

PLUNGE DRILL IMPROVES DRILLING ACCURACY

HANDLING THAT dicey in-field repair could get easier with the Triton 18v cordless plunge drill. The drill's plunge mechanism, which telescopes from the drill body, helps guide the drill squarely into the material. An adjustable depth stop controls the hole depth, and a fence aids with centering the bit over round stock and on outside corners. The plunge mechanism self-stores by locking into the drill body. The drill also has a 24-position clutch, a ½-in. chuck, a hammer function and a high-intensity LED light.

Suggested retail price: $289. The drill comes with two batteries and a charger. Contact Triton Workshop Systems USA, Dept. FIN, Box 794, Rooseveltown NY 13683, 888/874-8661, visit www.tritonwoodworking.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 197.
