THE AMAZON Kindle portable reader wirelessly downloads books, blogs, magazines and newspapers to a crisp, high-resolution electronic display that looks and reads like real paper, even in bright sunlight, according to Amazon. At 10.3 oz., Kindle is lighter and thinner than a typical paperback and fits easily in one hand. Its built-in memory stores more than 200 titles and hundreds more with an optional SD memory card. Books, magazines and newspapers are downloaded wirelessly (at no extra charge) using the high-speed EVDO data network developed by Sprint, Verizon and other cellular phone service providers. More than 90,000 books are currently available, including current New York Times best sellers and new releases.
