Year-round automated steering

The Autopilot automated steering system from Trimble is available for combines, which means it may now be used for most farm applications throughout the year. Trimble says the system guides the combine in consistent rows with pinpoint accuracy. The system currently fits on the John Deere 9×50/0×60 STS and the Case IH 2388 combines.

Existing Autopilot customers may purchase a platform transfer kit for their combines starting at $4,500. An entire Autopilot system starts at $9,999. Contact Trimble at 800/865-7438, visit www.trimble.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 190.

GPS assisted steering

The eDrive GPS assisted steering system works in conjunction with the Outback S GPS guidance system to provide smooth, hands-free steering in both “straight guidance” and “contour guidance” modes. Outback Guidance says additional models and kits will expand the number of tractor and self-propelled sprayer models to which eDrive can be adapted.
