WINDOWS LIVE OneCare from Microsoft automates five important tasks needed to keep Windows XP operating efficiently. These include virus and spyware protection, a firewall, automated backup of the computer's hard drive, and checking for Microsoft Windows and other Microsoft software updates. OneCare handles its tasks in the background and warns you if your virus database needs to be updated if you weren't online when a regular update was scheduled.
The software, which includes unlimited telephone, online and e-mail support, has a suggested retail price of $49.95, which allows installation on three computers. It is available online at onecare.live.com and at major computer retailers.
