Versatile hammer drill
The new Bosch hammer drill handles jobs on concrete, brick, mortar, wood or steel. The new 1199VSR drill features a patented rotating brush plate that allows equal power in forward and reverse. A Bosch 8.5-amp motor powers the drill. It drills in many materials, including ¾-in. concrete, ½-in. steel and 1½-in. wood. It includes a 360° auxiliary handle with built-in depth gauge to allow the operator to drill many holes at the same depth.
Carbide-tipped saw blades
A new line of carbide-tipped, metal-cutting saw blades handle ferrous and nonferrous metals. Produced by Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation, the Endurance 8-in. circular saw blades provide fast cutting, have long life and resist bending. The tips of the blades are made from a Cermet material to provide higher wear resistance than standard tungsten carbide. The blades do not produce a cloud of abrasive dust and generate less heat and sparks than standard cutting wheels do. The blades are available in 42-tooth and 50-tooth models.
