Pioneer names products Optimum

May 1, 2009 12:00 PM

As Pioneer Hi-Bred gears up for the anticipated launch of its Optimum GAT corn and soybean products in 2010 and 2011, the company has announced that it is giving a name to its lineup of new traits, products and programs: Optimum Brand Innovations.

Individual traits and programs from Pioneer will carry unique brand names beneath the Optimum brand umbrella. First up is the Optimum GAT herbicide tolerance trait. Pending regulatory approval, corn with the Optimum GAT trait is scheduled for commercial release in 2010, followed by soybeans in 2011.

Pioneer also will include Optimum AcreMax 1 insect protection as part of the family of Optimum Brand Innovations. Future brands will include product advancements from the Pioneer proprietary pipeline of input traits. The company says that the Optimum brand also may be used to identify marketing programs accompanying Optimum brand traits.
