Monsanto's VT Products

Nov 1, 2006 12:00 PM

Monsanto's new second-generation insect control technology will be called YieldGard VT. The first products out in 2007 will be YieldGard VT Rootworm/RR2 and YieldGardVT Triple. The VT initials stand for Vector-Stack Transformation or “VecTran” technology, the next generation of YieldGard stacked traits, according to Dave Rhylander, Monsanto director of traits. He says that, because of the VT process, the new hybrids will feature better insect control and higher yield potentials than current YieldGard products provide.
