Congress has provided additional incentives for farmers and other small businessmen to purchase tractors and other equipment in 2011 and 2012. While the rules change at the stroke of midnight a week from Saturday (Dec. 31), farmers can still use the new tax provisions to offset income. Iowa State University’s Mark Hanna says the Nebraska Tractor Tests can assist growers in making buying decisions.
