Comfortable work boots

May 12, 2008 4:17 PM, By Jeff Ryan

Rossi Boots

From the Land Down Under comes Rossi Boots, a leather work boot made with comfort and durability in mind. The company makes use of a high-pressure-water-jet leather-cutting machine to cut pieces from the hide. To improve the sole-attaching process, the company recently installed a 24-station carousel that directly molds a dual-density sole to the upper. A polyurethane mid-sole provides cushioning under the foot. A unique feature of Rossi boots is a special air-cushioned sole that absorbs the shock of contact with the ground or other hard surfaces. Small pockets of air within the sole provide an added layer of protection against the pounding the foot takes throughout the workday.

The boots are available in a variety of colors and styles, including work boots, motorcycle boots, hiking boots (or bush-walking boots as the Aussies call them), special safety boots, and everyday casual shoes and boots.
