New loader options

Two new series of loaders are available for the Fendt Vario 400 and 700 tractors.

The 3S models are factory-installed loaders with heavy-duty cast-iron mountings that attach to the tractor's frame. Model 3S-63 is for the 400 series tractors, and 3S-70 is for the 700 series tractors. Each model has a hydraulic line/hose safety feature that instantly locks the loader if a line or hose breaks and a lowering control valve that provides a constant lowering speed independent of the load weight.

The second series is for Fendt tractor owners who wish to add a loader to their existing machine. The dealer-installed 450 HSL and 750 HSL (hydraulic self-leveling) models fit the 400 series and 700 series tractors, respectively. The new loaders have a high-tensile-strength boom frame and a pedestal mount design. The 450 HSL can lift 3,600 lbs. up to 11½ ft., and the 750 HSL can lift 5,000 lbs. up to 13 ft. Adjusting a pin on the loader can increase the lift height. The 450 HSL can reach a maximum height of about 12¾ ft., and the 750HSL can reach 14¼ ft. by using the two-position lift height feature, which trades a portion of the lift capacity for lift height.

Crop cutter option

Improve the feed efficiency of your bales and eliminate the need for long mixing times in your TMR mixer or hay grinder with New Holland's CropCutter system, now available as an option on big square baler models BB940 and BB960. Up to 23 knives cut the crop as it is being delivered to the baler so that the bale will break apart more easily and will be easier for livestock to eat and digest. A slide-away drawer lets you add or remove knives according to the crop.

The balers also are available with optional steerable tandem axles to allow them to ride smoother over rough ground and reduce ground tear-ups at the ends of fields. The suggested list price for a baler with CropCutter option starts at $79,000. Contact New Holland at 888/290-7377, visit www.newholland.com/na.
