Beck’s Hybrids announced it is opening the company’s first permanent location in Ohio. The new facility will be located east of the Farm Science Review show site, at London, Ohio.
The new property will be used for Practical Farm Research (PFR) studies, field day events, and other agronomic support for Ohio farmers. Plans also include building a seed distribution facility on the site.
“This investment is a reflection of our commitment to Ohio farmers and it will provide them with research and quality products that perform in their field environments, agronomic support and better service,” said Sonny Beck, president of Beck’s Hybrids. “The location is ideal, providing great road access, which allows Beck’s to service customer needs throughout western Ohio.”
The first PRF studies will be available for the 2013 growing season. PRF studies look at how different management practices and new technologies perform in different environments.
