Trimble offers EZ-Pilot assisted steering system

Trimble unveiled its assisted steering system called EZ-Pilot at Farm Progress Show. The system retails for $3,995 plus $795 for the installation kit.

Trimble unveiled its newest assisted steering system called EZ-Pilot at Farm Progress Show. Mark Martinez, Trimble marketing manager, says the new system is affordable and high performing. The EZ-Pilot system fits between Trimble’s high-end AutoPilot system and its entry-level EZ Steer system.

A key feature of EZ-Pilot is its compact design with a small motor attached to the steering column that doesn’t obstruct a vehicle’s instruments or controls. Its small design also allows plenty of room for leg clearance. EZ-Pilot is easily installed into a vehicle’s steering, with the original steering wheel used.

Martinez says EZ-Pilot fits on a number of vehicle types, from tractors to sprayers. The EZ-Pilot contains Trimble’s T3 enhanced terrain compensation technology that automatically adjusts the steering for rough terrain.

The system may be ordered now and retails for $3,995. The installation kit costs $795. Contact Trimble Navigation at 800/865-7438 or visit www.trimble.com/agriculture
