Kinze Manufacturing introduced its latest version of its Autonomous Harvest System in an Illinois field this week. With media on hand, Kinze’s product manager Rhett Schildroth explained the system that works without a driver for the tractor/grain-cart system. The high-tech system involves a ruggedized laptop computer that the combine driver monitors. The tractor is outfitted with sensors, radar and other equipment to make it robotic, yet safe.
