Electric steering system

The AES-25 electric steering system from Topcon Precision Agriculture integrates an electric motor and a steering wheel in a single package. It eliminates external components and leaves the steering wheel in the same position as the wheel it replaces.

The AES-25, which is fully compatible with Topcon’s System 150 and System 200 (X20) consoles, uses a quiet, high-torque motor that provides both forward and reverse steering, which the company says is an industry first for an electric steering system. The system can be moved from one vehicle to another in a few minutes. An optional wheel sensor can be added for greater steering stability in challenging conditions.

The list price is $3,495. Contact Topcon, Dept. FIN, 7400 National Dr., Livermore, CA 94551, 925/245-8300.
