Track Vehicle Location, Status with AGCO's AgCommand

TRACK THE location, status and job hours of your farm vehicle fleet from your computer with a new telemetry product from AGCO called AgCommand. (See www.farmindustrynews.com/tv.) The system is a plug-and-play device with sensors that configures itself to any machine and automatically generates near real-time machine status information. Information about the machine is sent via a modem over a cell phone network to a Web site that users can access at any time. Examples of what can be monitored include where a tractor is, what tasks it is doing, how close it is to being finished, how often it is idling, how often it is working, how often implements are on the ground and how often they are in transport mode, when the tractor will need service next, and when a sprayer tank is empty.

AgCommand organizes the information and develops detailed reports that track engine hours, fuel consumption, operator efficiency and field-specific machine information. Reports can be used to monitor and control operating costs and for planning, billing and maintenance scheduling.

The product is available on Challenger, Massey Ferguson, AGCO and Gleaner branded products. Suggested list price: 2,500. Contact AGCO Corp., Dept. FIN, 4205 River Green Pkwy., Duluth, GA 30096, 800/767-3221, visit www.agcocorp.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 161.
