Williamsburg, Iowa – Row-crop growers will have the opportunity to see the newest innovations from Kinze® Manufacturing, a leader in the agricultural equipment industry, at the 2010 National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Ky., February 10-13.
Both the 3800 Forward Folding and the 3660 Twin-Line® planters with Air Seed Delivery (ASD) will be on display at the Kinze booth – #4042 in the North Wing. Additionally, booth visitors can see demonstrations and displays of the latest technology from Kinze and visit the Kinze Store.
The unique 24 row Kinze 3800 handles and maneuvers like a smaller planter. The planter features a three-section frame that has 10 degrees of flex up and down, for planting in uneven and terraced fields. The exclusive forward folding toolbar design with telescoping tongue transports at just 14′ 7″ wide.
The planter’s dedicated transport axle is located ahead of the toolbar providing better balance and maneuverability for handling tight turns. The wheelbase of the 3800 planter is shorter than other large planter models and row unit ground clearance is much greater. Available in 24 row with 30″ spacing, the 3800 planter is offered with mechanical metering or EdgeVac® vacuum seed metering.
The innovative Kinze 3660 planter will be displayed with the Interplant® option to plant in 30″ or 15″ rows. This planter features a hydraulic weight transfer mechanism that shifts weight from the center of the planter to the wings to maintain even pressure along the length of the toolbar. This allows for more uniform and accurate planting. A flexible, three-section frame features 13 degrees of up and down movement, which makes the 3660 planter adaptable to fields with rolling terrain and terraces. The 3660 is available in 12 or 16 row configurations.
The 3660 planter will feature the exclusive scale package option that is available on all ASD planters in the 2010 Kinze product line. As the only planter manufacturer to offer a scale package as a factory option, Kinze is excited to show row-crop growers how the option is an important management tool that will help them improve planting efficiency and seed management.
Both the 3800 and the 3660 planters are available with the ASD system that features two centrally mounted, 55 bushel hoppers (110 total), for optimum filling ease and convenience. Booth visitors will have the opportunity to view a new video of how the ASD system works in the field. Additionally, an interactive demonstration of the ASD system and EdgeVac vacuum seed metering system will be located in the booth.
The durable Harvest Commander® 1050 grain cart will also be on display at the National Farm Machinery Show. This cart features a 1,050 bushel capacity and a powerful auger system for easy and effective unloading. The 1050 empties in approximately 2.1 minutes, making harvest more efficient as it unloads at a rate of 500-600 bushels per minute.
The 1050 is offered with multiple undercarriage options from Row-Crop tires to Sof-Tred (large flotation tires) to Sof-Traks (rubber tracks), making this cart an ideal harvest option for any farming operation. The cart is available with a number of additional options, including electronic scale packages, adjustable discharge spout and rolling tarp.
Growers can also view some of the best monitoring technology on the market. The Kinze Vision®, Kinze Cobalt™ and KPM III monitoring systems will be on display at the 2010 National Farm Machinery Show booth. These systems allow for more precise and accurate planting – lowering input costs and reducing field time during a busy planting season.
“Our goal has always been to provide durable and reliable products to row-crop growers,” Susanne Veatch said, the vice president and chief marketing officer at Kinze. “At the 2010 National Farm Machinery Show, growers can see demonstrations and learn more about the most innovative planter and grain cart technology available in the industry.”
