Air-delivered seed system

Kinze's new 3660 SDS Twin-Line planter will be ready for planting in 2009. The planter features an air-delivery system for transferring seed from the central hopper to individual row units instead of a mechanical system. On the 3660, the seed is constantly recirculated to prevent stoppages. The new planter is equipped with the Kinze Vision system that allows an operator to monitor planter functions and change seed population rates on the go from a single touch-screen display in the cab. It also features a closed-center hydraulic system to maintain planting depth across all row units, single-row air-actuated clutches, and a 110-bu. seed capacity.

List price for the planter shown is $154,471. Contact Kinze Mfg., Dept. FIN, Box 806, Williamsburg, IA 52361, 319/668-1300, www.kinzemfg.com.
