Maintain a deeper depth control and handle heavier residue with the new 1,000-lb. shank assembly option for Wil-Rich's 4800 rigid hitch chisel plow. The assembly allows more trip point pressure and strength. Flat shanks were replaced with 1¼ × 2-in. on-edge shanks to form a narrower edge for narrower soil contact. Expansion springs were replaced with two ½-in. compression springs to minimize breakage from large obstacles. The assembly requires a 50° sweep and features 30 in. of underframe clearance with a 1-ft. trip clearance.
