Variable rate seeding

Like nitrogen application, seeding rates have long vexed farmers. Since not all parts of the field are equal, you may be seeding above or below the soil's potential with just one seeding rate. This story will focus upon work to vary seeding rates according to soil productivity and if farmers can use the technology.
