France: With a population of 2.2 million people in an area of 41 square miles Paris is both the Capital of the Nation and of the historic Îlle de France region. Also known as the "City of Lights", Paris is among the most stimulating cities in the world - a place where all senses are assaulted.

Germany's reunification in 1990 was the beginning of yet another chapter in its complex history. The Federal Republic of Germany possesses the world's third most technologically powerful economy after U.S. and Japan. It has many major cities, each one with its own unique character, a whole new world into itself in which you can experience not only different architectural styles and art treasures but also a very distinctive lifestyle. A few examples are Mannheim, Stuttgart, known as the home of both Porsche and Mercedes-Benz, and Heidelberg, a city that boasts international powerhouses in the fields of environmental protection, genetic engineering and information technology.

Day 1 – Feb 21 (Friday)

Tour participants depart from their US domestic airport to connect with the international group flight to Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, France.

Day 2 – Feb 22 (Saturday) Paris, France D
Morning arrival in the capital of France. Meet your tour manager outside custom clearance and board your private motorcoach for drive to our hotel. Time to relax and freshen up before our sightseeing tour, including Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, Church of the Madeleine and Notre Dame Cathedral. Back to the hotel in time for the…

Day 3 – Feb 23 (Sunday)

8:00am After breakfast, on to a full day visit to SIMA at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center.
SIMA is the Paris International Agri-Business exhibition, the benchmark exhibition of plants and animal products, held biannually. SIMA is organized by EXPOSIMA, encompassing three French organizations of trade and ag machinery. Exhibitors: producers/manufacturers of farm machinery & equipment, manufacturers of parts/components/engines, agriculture supply companies, animal breeders, R & D, services, new technologies. 5:00pm Return to hotel.

Day 4 – Feb 24 (Monday)

Breakfast at hotel.
8:00am Transfer to the Exhibition Center for a full day at the SIMA event.
5:00pm Return to hotel.

Day 5 – Feb 25 (Tuesday)
Paris – Besancon B, D
8:00am After breakfast, the tour departs hotel and heads south. Entering Burgundy, there will be a stop at a winery to sample their red and white wines. Then continue on to Besancon (in eastern France) for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – Feb 26 (Wednesday)
Besancon - Lindau B
8:00am Leaving France today as we proceed into Southern Germany. Lunch on route.
2:00pm Visit to the Claas plant in the city of Bad Saulgau and see their harvest equipment production.
The CLAAS company, established in 1913, is a leading manufacturer of farming equipment, with five German plants and for outside of Germany. One in three combine harvesters sold in Europe comes from CLAAS, while their second most important product group is the self propelled forage harvester.
5:00pm Continue on to Lindau.
6:00pm Arrival in Lindau, beautiful situated on Lake Constance.

Day 7 – Feb 27 (Thursday)
Lindau - Stuttgart B
7:00am Departure from the hotel.
8:30am Begin with a visit to the Fendt plant in Marktoberdorf, where they manufacture tractors.
Fendt is a brand of the AGCO Corporation, a major worldwide manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, offering a full product line (tractors, combines, hay tools, sprayers, forage equipment and implements) through more than 8,500 independent dealers and distributors in over 140 countries. Fendt is the corporation’s new high-tech brand for highest demands.
11.30am Lunch (on own)
12.30pm Group heads north to the city of Metzingen.
3:00pm Visit Lechler’s plant, manufacturing spray nozzles. Lechler is a leading maker of precision spray nozzles and demisters for applications in the manufacturing industry, environmental engineering and agriculture. Lechler has been at the cutting edge of spray technology in these and other areas for over a century. The company‘s headquarters are in Metzingen, Germany, with subsidiaries in the USA, the UK, France, Belgium, Sweden, Hungary and India.
6:00pm On to Stuttgart for overnight.
7:00pm Arrival at hotel.

Day 8 – Feb 28 (Friday)
Stuttgart – Mannheim B
8:30am Departure from hotel
9:00am Visit the Mercedes Benz plant.
11:30am On to Mannheim with lunch stop en route.
3:00pm Visit to the John Deere plant where the tractors in the 6000 series are manufactured.
6:00pm Depart for hotel.
Overnight: Mannheim

Day 9 – March 01 (Saturday)
Mannheim B
8:30am Leave for excursion to nearby Heidelberg for sightseeing and last minute shopping.
4:00pm Return to Mannheim.
7:00pm Farewell dinner
Overnight: Mannheim

Day 10 – March 02 (Sunday)
Mannheim B, D
Transfer to Frankfurt International Airport for the return flight to the U.S.
