Fall color change - Allis and White to turn AGCO orange

May 15, 2001 12:00 PM, Wayne Wenzel

AGCO is retiring its Allis and White tractor brands by merging them into a single brand. In a letter to dealers dated March 30, E.R. Swingle, AGCO vice president of sales and marketing, announced the official color and name change.

Swingle says the creation of the orange AGCO tractor line will help the company focus its resources on a single tractor brand. Although the company will not release full details on specific models until this fall, Swingle assured dealers that the AGCO line will have “aggressive marketing programs, including rebates, preferred retail financing and no-cost maintenance programs.” He also promised “excellent demo programs” to help dealers attract customers.
