Auto implement steering
Trimble introduced two new products at the show. The AgGPS Implement Steering System (pictured) provides accurate steering of implements even on extremely sloped fields. The steering system includes an implement-mounted GPS receiver and T3 roll-compensated control system and works off the Trimble RTK Autopilot system. A display in the tractor communicates the path information to the implement and instantly adjusts the steerable coulters. This system allows operators to steer their implements with the same repeatable accuracy as their tractors. Price: less than $20,000. Circle 217.
Trimble says its new Machine Control System automates machine control to improve the accuracy of agricultural drainage and leveling equipment by up to 50%. Called the new-generation AgGCS300/400, the system requires one universal control box to direct all machine control systems, no matter what scraper combination. The control box works with the Trimble SR300 survey laser receiver or LR410 laser receivers. The system's “plug and play” feature allows direct connection with many major brand tractors. Prices range from $6,500 to $22,000. Circle 218.
