Work Truck Tire

Feb 1, 2007 12:00 PM

A new tire from Goodyear features an enhanced tread for use on trucks that regularly haul heavy loads. The new Wrangler tire with SilentArmor Technology Pro-Grade features a chip- and chunk-resistant tread compound that enhances tread life in heavy towing applications and resists uneven wear. Ridges within the tread provide traction in wet or muddy conditions, while the Durawall rubber prevents tire punctures. Two steel belts and a covering layer of DuPont Kevlar absorb road noise and provide a smooth, quiet ride.

The Wrangler SilentArmor fits most working trucks. The tires come in 47 sizes fitting rim sizes up to 20 in. Suggested retail price for a Wrangler SilentArmor tire that fits a F250 and F350 is $211.97.
