Commodity Classic videos

MACHINERYLINK ENTERTAINED Commodity Classic crowds with an old combine renovated by the crew of the popular Chrome Shop Mafia. The combine will operate, but not to harvest grain. Instead, the rear opens to a large-screen TV and computer display, just for operation at shows. Watch a video about the combine and learn why Machinerylink pursued the retro combine redo.

MONSANTO ANNOUNCED at Commodity Classic that all its special seed traits will be housed under one brand name called Genuity. The change in name is intended to simplify seed bag labeling and make it easier for growers to know what they are buying. Monsanto reported it intends to launch many more new traits in the future, which would only add to the confusion under the old method where each trait had its own label on the seed bag.

Mohawk cutter

I understand that United Farm Tools bought out Mohawk Equipment back in 1990 and that United Farm Tools is no longer around. They handled Mohawk cutters. I have a Mohawk 720 cutter and I need to know about the slip clutch assembly. Where can I find a parts manual for the cutter or information about replacing the clutch?
Theo Kocian
Hallettsville, TX

The answer lies right there in Texas. Agmire Industries, Delton, TX, manufactures Mohawk equipment. According to Agmire's Jimmy Gribanov, if you call the company, someone will be happy to send you the parts manual and answer your questions. Call Agmire Industries at 800/446-7319.
