Enlist corn and soybeans from Dow AgroSciences are one step closer to being available to growers. The USDA released its final EIS for the product last week. Enlist will offer growers a way to manage resistant and hard-to-control weeds.

The last approval process is USDA’s issuance of a Record of Decision, which is expected soon.

IN a release from Dow, the company cites that farmers across the Midwest and Southern U.S. have been fighting resistant and tough weeds for several years, and resistant weeds are now affecting about 70 million acres of farmland.
