The new 2987-399 wiper wheel from Yetter is now available as an attachment to the high-speed 2937 Magnum fertilizer coulter. The wiper wheel holds soil in place while the coulter blade opens a slot for fertilizer. It helps the Magnum run at high speeds without disturbing the soil. The center of the wiper wheel is open, so when the soil is wet, it runs through the wheel cutouts without causing a soil buildup. Yetter says the wiper wheel works well for pre-application of anhydrous in the fall and spring as well as side-dressing.
