Titan Tire Corporation, maker of Titan and Goodyear Farm Tire brand tires, unveiled its first tire designed specifically for sprayers at the Ag Connect show in Orlando last month. The Goodyear Ultra Sprayer tires have wider lugs and better lug bracing than conventional R1 tractor tires for more durability over the road, even under heavier loads.
“We found as those vehicles were doing more roading, sprayer operators wanted a tire that would wear longer than the conventional R1 tread design designed for tractors,” says Titan sales representative Skip Sagar. “So we widened out the lug to make the tire more durable and designed an even curvature bar for better traction and cleaning.”
The sprayer tires can handle speeds up to 30 mph and feature tread bars engineered to carry heavy sprayer loads of up to 12,300 lbs. of weight per tire.
The Ultra Sprayer product line is available in section widths of 320 and 380 in bead diameters of 46, 50 and 54 to accommodate row widths from 20 to 36 in. Average retail price: $1,600.
