New chisel plows

Mar 10, 2003 12:00 PM

Case IH says it designed its new PTX series chisel plows for heavy-duty performance and accuracy. The PTX300 and PTX 600 chisel plows feature heavy-duty tubular frame construction, single-cylinder depth control and high-residue clearance. The rigid-frame PTX300 offers working widths between 24 and 40 ft. with 24 to 40 shanks on 12-in. spacings. The flexible-frame PTX600 ranges from 26 to 62 ft. with shanks spaced at either 9 or 12 in. Equipped with a Case IH manifold and air package, this model also may be used for seeding and fertilizing.

“The Case IH PTX series chisel plows maintain uniform depth and excellent soil penetration to break up soil clods and flatten crop residue to guard against erosion,” reports Jacky Payne of Case IH seeders and chisel plows.

List price for a 30-ft. PTX300 is $18,000, and the list price for a 62-ft. PTX600 is $45,000. Contact Case Corp., 700 State St., Racine, WI 53404, 262/636-6011, visit www.caseih.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin.
