Fast Introduces New Model 9420 Pull-Type Sprayer

Large pull-type sprayers are one option if you are looking for the ability to spray a lot of ground without the expense of a self-propelled sprayer. Operating a pull-type sprayer without running down your crop can be a challenge though. The new Fast 9420 pull-type sprayer is a high-clearance, high-capacity model with several unique features to make the job easier.

The 9420 is configured as a short-coupled trailer that improves row tracking and minimizes trailer drift (dog tracking) on side hill applications and at headlands. The new design is also better at accommodating narrow-row crops.

Other new features include a 62- to 120-in. adjustable axle; easier access to the tank fill-well; high-performance, high-pressure product pumps; and a simple-to-use streamlined plumbing system.

A reengineered truss design on the boom arms eliminates boom tip vibration. Tanks are all standard with long sloping trough-style sumps and 1 ¼-in. full-length stainless steel agitation tubes. Tanks are available in 1,000-, 1,250- and 1,500-gal. sizes. Boom sizes are available from 60 to 90 ft. with no-drip nozzle outlets at various spacings. Numerous tire and rim options are available.

Other standard features include the Fast center-pivot boom system, durable baked-on powder coat paint, 50-gal. rinse system, 2-in. bottom fill, Raven 450 auto control system, and motorized ball-valve shutoffs. Options include automatic boom height controllers from Raven and Norac, guidance systems, foam markers, Hypro eductors, dual wheels and rubber tracks. A field ready model 9420 with 1,250-gal. tank and 90-ft. boom retails for about $30,000.
