Mobile Software

Feb 15, 2007 12:00 PM

SMS MOBILE from Ag Leader Technology is a new software package that allows you to take SMS software to the field on a mobile device. With the SMS Mobile, you can collect data in the field, then easily transfer it back to your office computer for analysis.

The device has four in-field logging options. A boundary mode allows you to define your field boundaries. The general logging mode is useful for logging tile lines and management zones. In the coverage mode, you can track field operations such as tillage and mowing. The soil-sample mode allows you to create and/or navigate to an area to take soil samples.

The SMS Mobile works with both the Basic and Advanced SMS desktop packages. The program is available in two different packages. The complete SMS Mobile Field PC kit includes a handheld PC, SMS Mobile software, digital memory card, compact flash GPS, weatherproof end cap, power cable and USB cable. The SMS Mobile software can be sold by itself and installed on any personal digital assistant running Microsoft Windows Mobile OS 5.0 or higher.

The SMS Mobile Field PC with software retails for $2,295. The SMS Mobile software retails for $495. Contact Ag Leader Technology, Dept. FIN, 2202 S. Riverside Dr., Ames, IA 50010, 515/232-5363, visit www.agleader.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 176.
