PIVOT MONITOR

TRACKER MONITORS ANY BRAND

VALMONT Irrigation introduces an entry-level irrigation monitoring device called the cams Tracker. The new Tracker will work with any brand of pivot or type of pivot panel to monitor the irrigation equipment in several fields.

“The Tracker alerts the grower of pivot shutdowns with an alarm message via phone or Internet,” says Jack LaRue, product manager. “This saves lots of time driving to the fields to check pivots. It might be a way to get another year out of that older pivot, with a little insurance that the grower will know, very quickly, if there's a problem.”

The Tracker was developed jointly between Valmont (the manufacturer of Valley Irrigation products) and M2M Communications, a Boise, ID, engineering firm specializing in remote monitoring and control products.

Price: $1,250. Contact Valmont Irrigation, Dept. FIN, Box 358, Valley, NE 68064, 800/825-6668, visit www.valmont.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 190.
