36-row planter
THE NEW Early Riser 1260 planter with a 90-ft. width for 36 rows of 30-in. spacing is the largest planter that Case IH manufactures. The planter also is available in 32 rows of 30-in. spacing. A steerable rear axle allows the planter to trailer right behind a tractor during transport. The steerable axle also allows the planter to turn in a 20-ft. tighter radius, making it easier to maneuver into fields. Transport length is 56 ft. 5 in.
Suggested retail price of the 36-row Early Riser is $240,000. Contact Case IH, Dept. FIN, 700 State St., Racine, WI 53404, 262/636-6011, visit www.caseih.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 103.
Row clutches
AG LEADER introduces a new electric row clutch for row-crop planters. The new SureStop clutches are part of Ag Leader's SeedCommand system that controls planting through GPS and field maps to eliminate overlap. The SeedCommand communicates to the clutches when to start and stop the flow of seed. SureStop clutches are designed for chain-drive seed meters and are installed on the inside of the row unit between the seed meter and drill shaft sprocket.
Price per row unit: $380. Contact Ag Leader Technology, Dept. FIN, 2202 S. Riverside Dr., Ames, IA 50010, 515/232-5363, visit www.agleader.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 104.
Fertilizer coulter
YETTER SAYS that its new 2987 Magnum coulter lets growers fertilize at faster rates with less soil disturbance than conventional fertilizer application tools do. The 2987 Magnum's 22-in. blade, set at a 5° angle, cuts a slot into the soil. A fertilizer knife is available to apply anhydrous, liquid or dry fertilizer. The new coulter operates at depths from 4 to 6 in. A spring-loaded cast-closing wheel follows to close and seal the fertilizer slot.
Suggested retail price: $1,200 to $1,400/coulter. Contact Yetter Mfg., Dept. FIN, Box 358, Colchester, IL 62326, 800/447-5777, visit www.yetterco.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 105.
Field cultivator
A NEW field cultivator designed for high-residue fields is available from Krause Corporation. The new 5635 model features a stronger frame to handle the tougher residue from genetically modified crops and an improved shank design for easy installation. The cultivator comes in sizes from 20 to 50 ft. and two different shank mounts: a k-tine with a 180-lb. point load for non-rocky conditions and a spring-cushioned mount with a 190-lb. point load and 15-in. trip height for rocky soils. A variety of harrows also is available.

HINIKER INTRODUCES a new dual-compartment dry fertilizer cart that works with its Hiniker 6000 strip-till system. The 5-ton, stainless steel cart handles two products, with separate metering systems for each compartment. A dual-meter delivery system sends the fertilizer to each row with a single hose. It is available for 12- and 16-row applicators.
Suggested retail price: $67,556. Contact Hiniker Co., Dept. FIN, Box 3407, Mankato, MN 56002, 507/625-6621, visit www.hiniker.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 107.
Double-jointed auger
WITH A new portable grain auger called the MK Flex, a grower can unload the two hoppers on a 54-ft. trailer without repositioning the truck. The MK Flex auger from Westfield Industries features a double-jointed design with a hydraulic hopper mover so it can be positioned under both hoppers without moving the trailer. This helps to speed up harvest because the truck driver spends less time unloading grain.
The MK Flex option adds about $8,500 to the cost of a 13-in. swing-away auger. Contact Westfield Industries, Dept. FIN, 1301 Kenaston Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R3P 2P2, Canada, 204/746-2396, visit www.grainaugers.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 108.

THE NEW Propane Hammer will quickly drive a steel post or stake into the ground. Manufactured by the paintball company Tippmann, the new device weighs 45 lbs. and is self-contained with its own 14-oz. propane tank. It will drive 200 standard posts with about 30 hits/post. It can deliver 150 blows/min. at 700 lbs. driving force.
Price: $1,995. Contact Tippmann Industrial Products at 800/536-2683, visit www.postdriver.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 109.
Planter with air seed delivery
THE NEW, technology-driven 3660 planter from Kinze features an air seed delivery (ASD) system that involves no moving parts. Two 55-bu. tanks hold seed, which is distributed through air pressure to individual rows. Air-actuated, single-row clutches allow automatic or manual row shutoff. The new planter maintains even pressure along the toolbar with a hydraulic weight transfer mechanism that moves weight from the center of the planter to the wings.
Suggested retail price of this model is $169,000. Contact Kinze Mfg., Dept. FIN, Box 806, Williamsburg, IA 52361, 319/668-1300, visit www.kinzemfg.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 110.

The processor features a reversible rotor, large 6- x 6-ft. ripper bed and overflow screen panels. It will quickly process bales to make them into palatable feed or bedding.

Cornstalk baler
VERMEER SAYS its new Super M-series cornstalk baler has a feed system that improves flow and consistency of high-volume cornstalk material before it enters the chamber. A hydraulically powered wind guard is positioned above the pickup assembly. Star-shaped plates feed the cornstalk material into the bale chamber. The wind-guard action can be reversed to unplug the baler.
Price: $53,655. Contact Vermeer Corp., Dept. FIN, Box 368, Pella, IA 50219, 800/370-3659, visit www.vermeerag.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 112.
