Apache Plus II Package
New for 2013 from Equipment Technologies is the Apache Plus II Package available on the AS1020 and AS1220 sprayers. The package includes a Cummins 275-hp engine and a heavier-duty differential from JCB to put more power to the ground. Great Plains Yield-Pro planter
Great Plains introduced its YP-825R Yield-Pro planter that solves the problem of transporting an 8-row planter. The planter features a “Lift-and-Rotate” design where the planter mainframe rotates on the hitch for transport at a width of 11 ft. 10 in. The planter has row-spacing capabilities of 22-, 30- and 30-in. twin rows. Each row holds a 1.6-bu. poly seed box. John Deere 6 Series tractors
John Deere has expanded its 6 Series tractor line with the introduction of 12 new models in the 105 to 170 engine hp range for 2013. The new 6M Series tractors (6105M, 6115M, 6125M, 6140M, 6150M and 6170M) range from 105 to 170 engine hp and replace the standard 6030 and 7030 Series tractors. Vermeer 504 Pro baler
Vermeer’s new 504 Pro baler with a 5- by 4-ft. variable chamber is heavy-built to handle everyday silage conditions. It features a color, touch-screen, E-Link Pro monitor for bale density control and collection of field data, all from the cab. The baler is equipped with Hydroflexcontrol, which allows the floor of the baler to flex up and down to minimize blockage in the pickup. Bestway boom height control
A new automatic boom height control system called AutoGlide is now available for Bestway Field Pro IV sprayers. AutoGlide is designed just for the Bestway line. It uses ultrasonic range sensors mounted on the spray boom to monitor and maintain the height of the booms above the ground or crop canopy. AutoGlide uses the existing electric-over-hydraulic controls so there are no extra hydraulic components to add to the sprayer. Brent Q-Series grain wagon
Unverferth’s three new models of the Brent Q-Series grain wagon feature push-button unloading. The operator pushes a button to raise the front or rear door for fast and effortless unloading. New RoGator, TerraGator models
AGCO rolled out three new high-clearance RoGator models for 2013 and four TerraGator models. Both lines now include AgCommand, AGCO’s telemetry system, as a standard feature with a one-year subscription. A fast, accurate spray-height control system is offered as an option on the RoGator. The TerraGator line features improved AirMax Precision and AirMax Precision 2 dry-application systems. List price for RoGator RG900 liquid with 100-ft. boom is $269,355. Challenger MT765D
The new Challenger MT700D Series tractors are available in two models. The MT765D (shown) is rated at 285 PTO/350 engine hp and the MT755D is rated at 260 PTO/327 engine hp. Both AGCO Power 8.4L diesel engines provide low operating input costs, low noise levels, long life and top power and torque. The Mobil-trac, five-axle undercarriage system features oscillating mid-wheels to minimize compaction and maximize traction and pulling power. The Claas Quadrant 3300 baler is a high-performance baler for dry hay, silage and straw. It produces 3- x 4-ft. bales. New Kinze planters
Kinze Manufacturing is reentering the mounted planter market with a rigid model and a stack-fold model for 2013. The 3140 model features a 3-point, stacking fold design for transport. It is available in 12-row, 30-, 36-, 38- and 40-in. row spacings, and a 16-row, 30-in. spacing. Prices range from $42,040 to $53,520 for the models with mechanical meters and $49,470 to $63,690 for models with vacuum meters. New Holland forage harvesters
New Holland has redesigned its five-model Forage Cruiser line of self-propelled forage harvesters. The models range from 424 to 824 hp and have a 12½-ft.-wide pickup area. New features include a high-performance grass pickup header that includes VariFlow and HydroLoc systems for achieving top chop quality and throughput. In addition, the FR line boasts a new chopper body and the latest advances in blower design to increase the volume of crop moved through the chopper. Loftness side-discharge shredder
Loftness introduced its CropLogix Windrow Draper 20. The new side-discharge crop shredder features a draper belt design instead of a typical auger. The windrow Draper 20 has a 20-ft. cutting width and computer-balanced rotors with 4.5-in. cupped knives to maximize suction. The unit includes a free-flow tunnel where residue is transfered from knife heads to the draper. Flow deflectors enhance performance by directing material toward the center of the draper belt. Trimble WM-Topo Survey System
This fall Trimble introduced its new portable topographic data collection system for water management. Called WM-Topo Survey System for water management, the system is lightweight and can be carried into difficult-to-reach areas like ditches, muddy fields and mature crops.
