Application rate controllers by Richway Richway Industries offers two new rate controllers for fertilizer and chemical application. Both are designed to maintain constant system pressure and application rate per nozzle or row, even as nozzles or rows are shut off. The Motor Speed Controller (MSC) is designed to control a 12-volt, DC motor of up to 20 amps. It reads system pressure and adjusts motor speed to maintain constant pressure. The display shows percent of motor speed and provides some indication of nozzle blockage. The Bypass Valve Controller (BVC) controls a servo valve to bypass some material back to the tank in order to maintain constant system pressure. The bypass controller can be used with any type of pump. Ground speed rate compensation is available as an option, using a GPS receiver, for both controllers. Learn more online at www.richway.com

Salford precision tillage tool Salford has relaunched the RTS tool with a series of features designed to enhance operations. The RTS Fertilizer Applicator and RTS Coulter Chisel are helping to bring tillage equipment into the era of precision farming. These machines feature 500-lb. and 1,000-lb. shanks that can switch between anhydrous application knives and a variety of chisel points. The shank uses a standard two-bolt mount to accept most manufacturers’ wear parts. The shanks feature a single-bolt lock-up to run the machine as the standard RTS. The lock-up features will allow minimum-tillage producers to rip known compaction zones without covering an entire field and then lock up the shanks and continue with the renowned residue processing of the standard RTS.
