In step with its plan to become a larger player in the North America farm tire market, Czech-based Mitas/CGS Tires says it will introduce five new sizes of Mitas-branded row-crop tires later this year. The new sizes are designed to meet the specific needs of North American farmers. (See "Top 10 trends in farm tires.")

“Mitas brings a quality product to the row-crop tire market, which is often neglected by major tire brands,” says Andrew Mabin, Mitas marketing and sales director.

Currently eight Mitas row-crop sizes are available under the AC85 and AC90 tread patterns. The five new sizes are the 270/95R32, 300/95R46, 320/85R34, 320/90R50 and 320/90R54. Mitas/CGS Tires expects to further expand the line in early 2012.

The Mitas brand is one of three brand names that the company manufactures and sells. Other brands are Cultor and, under license, Continental agricultural tires.
