Heavy snow removal

This winter's heavy snowfall has heightened the need for snow equipment. Paul Wever Construction has developed a snow removal system with attachments that are easily interchanged. The attachments, which include a snow box, V-plow, wing plow and angle plow, may be used in combinations or independently. They are equipped with 3-pt. hitches for easy hookup to almost any vehicle or tractor.

Tough shovel

UnionTools claims to have developed the industry's strongest shovel. Its updated Razor-Back fiberglass-handle shovel features a raised backbone head and steel-reinforced head-to-handle connection, which prevents the shovel blade from breaking off when it is overloaded. Plus, the handle is made of stiff fiberglass to help make the shovel — and not your back — do the work. The No. 2 size blade forged from 14-gauge steel is available in either open-back or closed-back models.

Pedestal-mount loaders

Koyker Manufacturing introduces three new loaders featuring a pedestal-mount design for tractors ranging from 12 to 135 hp. The pedestal-mount loaders allow more tire clearance and provide better visibility for the tractor operator.

The new 80 series loader is designed for 2-wd or front-wheel-assist tractors from 12 to 25 hp. The loader reaches 6 ft. and will lift 450 lbs. It retails for $2,065.

The new 145/185 series loader fits on 2-wd or front-wheel-assist tractors with 20 to 45 hp. This loader lifts 1,500 lbs. up to 8 ft. 5 in. It retails for $2,753.

Koyker's new 545 series loader attaches to front-wheel-assist and 2-wd tractors in the 80- to 135-hp range. The loader handles loads up to 3,520 lbs. and hits a maximum lift height of 12 ft. 11 in. Price: $5,288.

Compact sprayer

A new 50-gal. sprayer trailer for small jobs around the farm is available from Wylie Manufacturing. The LGS sprayer is easily pulled by an ATV, mower or utility vehicle where a large sprayer isn't needed. Yet the sprayer is equipped with many “big sprayer” features that make it versatile and easy to use. It includes a 50-gal. poly spray tank, 10- or 14-ft. flat-fold boom, 25-ft. hose and trigger gun, and hose wrap. The trailer is equipped with turf tires to provide flotation. The flat-fold boom is equipped with either open or QuickJet nozzle bodies and a spring breakaway to protect the boom. The boom folds to 57 in.
